What does a 41 week belly look like?

Well, I am back again! We are now 41 weeks - yikes! My belly is huge! I am now 6cm, 70% effaced, and between a +1 and +2 station. We are just waiting for contractions or my water to break :-) The doctor is REALLY surprised I haven't delivered yet. Surprisingly, I am still feeling pretty good - my biggest complaint at the moment is lots of really ITCHY stretch marks! I can assure you that there will not be a 42 week picture! The baby and I are both doing very well, but Jeff and I have decided that with my diabetes we are not comfortable going much longer. We talked with my OB on Monday and we are scheduled to break my water to induce labor next Monday morning. We are still really wanting to go into labor on our own before then, and would really appreciate your prayers that that would happen!

41 weeks - yes, I am wearing pajama pants and one of Jeff's undershirts. They are currently some of the only things I can still fit into! I am down to one pair of maternity shorts and two shirts that fit :-P


We can't wait for Jonathan to come out!
While eating a bowl of cereal yesterday, I discovered this new talent.
And today realized that my belly came in handy for more than just my cereal bowl :-)

Pregnancy update and Week 39!

Baby J. and I are both continuing to do well. We have been having bi-weekly NSTs since week 36, which we have been passing with flying colors! I have been 4cm dilated and 50% effaced since week 37, and our OB (Dr. S) seems pretty surprised that we haven't already delivered. At today's appointment we were 5cm, 60% effaced, and baby's head is at a +1 station. I asked Dr. S if I could stay like this for another week, and he said probably not, but that I've surprised him thus far. LOL! He said he is surprised I am not more uncomfortable than I have been, because I basically have a head between my legs :-P And that if we wait too long at home, for Jeff to tie off the cord with a shoestring and keep the baby warm. Jeff said not to worry, we plan on making it to the hospital in time for the doctor to deliver us!!! We have been walking ALOT - 5.5 miles tonight. I have contractions while walking, but they stop shortly after I quit. We know that Jonathan will come out when he's ready, and are resting peacefully in the knowledge that God knows the best timing for his birth. Here is our 39 week picture. 38 weeks and a watermelon

We are now 38 weeks, and big (or possibly even bigger) as a watermelon!

Date Night

Last night Jeff and I went out to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We enjoyed a delicious meal at the Olive Garden :-) When we got home we decided to take a few pictures of our family before we become the Ogan 3!

Baby Room Progress :-)

Progress has been made on the baby room! Walls and ceiling were textured, the room was painted a very pretty bluish gray, an old dresser and bookshelves were painted, a ceiling fan hung, trim painted and laid, new window inserted, shade hung, and baby things organized and put away! Many thanks to my DH, mother, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law for all their help! We still have some small tasks left - dust ruffle, curtains, pictures on walls - but are thrilled with the progress already made :-)
