Jonathan is 18 Months Old!

It's hard to believe our little guy is already 1 1/2 years old!!!  You are a joy to our family.  We are loving watching you learn and explore - you are learning new things daily!

Not quite awake yet :-)  And in desperate need of a haircut!

You love to eat - breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and anything inbetween too!

Mommy and her little guy!

Big blue eyes!

You love love love music of any kind!  Maybe you will play the guitar like your grampas :-)

You adore your daddy and can't wait for him to get home when he is out.

You love bath time, and you get lots of them because you are true boy - dirty, sweaty, and stinky ;-)

You like your toddler bed for playing, but NOT for sleeping yet.  We tried it out one day for nap and it didn't work at all and you were traumatized for the next few days - guess we'll wait a few more months to try it again.

It is getting increasingly more and more difficult to get good pictures of you because you are...

BUSY

BUSY

BUSY

BUSY

BUSY!

This is a new trick - standing on a lower drawer to play with the measuring cups and spoons in an upper drawer.  I love your little feet balancing on the drawer's edge!  We had to quickly nix this new talent though, because it was going to tear up the drawer.

Wiping the table after dinner.

You love helping Mommy around the house, and I love it when you do. Here you are helping empty the dishwasher by putting away spoons. You don't quite know where things go yet, so I have to search various drawers to find what i am needing sometimes :-)

You want to be just like Daddy, and were thrilled when he let you sit on the mower after he mowed the grass.

Smoothie mustache!

Like I said, it is difficult to get pictures of you now a days!  I love this cute outfit you wore to church.

We find you here a lot - at the top of the futon looking out the window.

Jonathan Lewis Ogan

* You are full of life, energy, and joy!
* You still love to go, go, go!  It doesn't matter where, you love getting in the car and heading to church, the park, the store, etc.
* You LOVE your sister and give her lots and lots of hugs.
* You are talking more and more - just this week you put 3 words together.  "Trucks, trucks, trucks, I LOOOVE TRUCKS" - from a library book you love :-)
* You love music and singing - you have started singing a lot and it is too sweet.  Holy Holy Holy is my favorite to hear you sing.
* You are in a size 5 disposable diaper, and are in the large setting for the rise and not far from the largest setting for the waist in your cloth diapers.
* You thoroughly enjoy your food and eat a wide variety.  We have had a bit of a problem getting you to eat some vegetables, but we have recently been giving you some ranch dressing to dip veggies in and now you eat them great!
* You are 33 inches long, and I think you are right at 29 lbs
* You are wearing a few 18 month clothes, but mostly 24 months or 2T
* You are in a size 6 shoe
* You love helping Mommy with jobs around the house.  Your first job was closing things for us - the dishwasher, the cabinets, refrigerator, the dryer - such a helpful little boy!
* You climb one everything!
* You run really fast
* You can throw a ball fast and straight - you still love any and all balls.
* You continue to be accident prone - falling and tripping, scraping and bruising.  We pull out the Boo Boo bear a lot!
* You now have 12 teeth

Kellen is 2 Months Old!

Time is flying by and it's hard to believe Kellen turned 2 months old last week!  She is really growing and chunking up and is a delightful baby.  She loves people and LOVES it when people talk to her - her face completely lights up and she gives the biggest smiles!

You spend a lot of your waking time in your bouncy seat and are so happy and content watching everything that is happening around you.  The bouncy seat seems to be the safest place for you when your brother is awake :-)  He loves you so much and would spend all day hugging and touching you if I let him.

Like your big brother, you love the wrap.  It's fun having you all cuddled up next to me while I work around the house.  The wrap keeps you safe and secure and frees up my hands.

You typically fall asleep within a minute or two of being in the wrap.

If I had to make a guess as to what color your eyes are going to end up ... pretty sure I'd go with BLUE!

Your hair continues to look very orange in certain lighting.

Big big smiles - you especially love it when your daddy talks to you!

Does this dress make me look fat?

Your little dress says "So Precious" - and you are!  We are very thankful to God for our precious little girl!

Mommy bought these little overalls at Goodwill when I was pregnant with Jonathan - before I knew he was a boy.  So glad they fit you this Spring!

All smiles!

Play time!

You love the play mat and will even bat at toys sometimes.

Helping Mommy with laundry.

Napping with Daddy - Daddy prayed for a cuddle bug and it looks like he got one!

Still loving all the sweet girl accessories!

Kellen Rebekah Ogan, you are ...
* smiling all the time, especially when talked to
* wearing some size 0-3 months clothes and some size 3-6 month clothes.
* wearing a size 1 disposable diaper, but as of the past week Mommy has been putting you in cloth
* sleeping good at night, waking to eat twice and going right back to sleep
*cooing quite a bit - sooooo cute!
* getting out and about a lot more - church, walking, store
*napping great during the day - when you get fussy we put you to bed and you are sound asleep within a few minutes (sometimes you cry/fuss for a minute or two, but a lot of the time you go straight to sleep)
* possibly a thumb sucker?  I have noticed your hand up around your mouth a lot when you are falling asleep or waking up, and have caught you sucking your thumb once or twice.
* usually fussy for a little bit each evening - it doesn't seem to help if you are held/cuddled/rocked, so I typically let you fuss it out for a while in your bed while I am giving big brother his bath and putting him to bed.  Then I feed you and you go to sleep.

Cute Booties!

When I was pregnant with Kellen, a friend sent us these CUTE booties!

Kellen checking out her new booties :-)

Kellen thought 2 flowers were cool, but adding 1 more with the headband, TOO MANY FLOWERS MOM!

From Days Gone By

A few weeks ago I dressed the kids in special outfits for church.  Jonathan wore a sailor outfit that my mom made for my oldest brother 30 years ago.  And Kellen wore a sweet gown that my mom made for me 28 years ago!

I need to see if my dad can send me a picture of my brothers in this outfit.  All three of my brothers refuse to let their boys wear this cute outfit and say that their kids will NEVER wear saddle oxfords.  Isn't my little guy cute?!

Me and my girl

My little guy - he definitely doesn't look like a baby anymore!

Not to happy about this photo shoot!  Can you see the sweet pink smocking around the wrists and collar?

Jonathan loves to give his sister hugs :-)

So hard to get this little one to stand still for pictures these days.  I sure do love that grin!

Peabody Ducks

While Gramma and Grampa Wedding were visiting, we went to the Peabody Hotel in Little Rock to see the famous Peabody ducks.  Jonathan LOVES ducks!  The ducks enter the fountain in the lobby at 11 am every day, swim all day in the fountain, and then exit the fountain at 5 pm.  This was our first trip to see them, and it was a lot of fun!
The ducks

Jonathan was very fascinated with the elevators :-)

Waiting around to see the ducks exit the fountain and waddle down the red carpet.

The Duck Master!

Listening to the Duck Master give his little speech.  When he said something humerous and everyone laughed, Jonathan would cover and his face and laugh like it was the funniest thing ever!

Down the red carpet they go!

And up the elevator.

We decided to take a ride in the elevator too, and headed to see where the duck's live when they aren't swimming in the fountain.
