This summer has absolutely flown by! I can't believe Fall is almost here - but am very excited that it is!!! I LOVE FALL, and I am very sick of hot weather. I have been a lousy blogger this summer, so here is one big post trying to summarize Jonathan's last few months.
July - 9 months
*Sometime between 8 and 9 months, Jonathan started REALLY sleeping through the night consistently. It took a few nights of letting him cry some in the night, but Mommy knew he was plenty big enough and that she needed her sleep while pregnant. He now sleeps 11+ hours a night!
*Teeth - you can see 3 teeth, and his other front upper tooth cut through that month too.
*He really has a great personality, a contagious grin, and he definitely knows he's funny!
Can Mommy just say how much she loves those cute lips and chubby cheeks!
Oh, and those pudgy little hands and fuzzy blonde hair too!
*We did a lot of chewing on our hands this month, along with anything else we could find to chew on.

*We mastered going up stairs around 8-9 months.
*We thoroughly enjoyed our swing, and continue to do so!

August - 10 months
*We were very excited to be home with Daddy after a very busy summer where we traveled a lot, while Daddy stayed home to work and did some amazing renovations to our home (blog post on the house updates will be coming in the near future). Please ignore any clutter and messiness in the background of any of these pictures - our home was a construction zone all summer, and we are still trying to unpack, find places for everything, get the furniture back into the right rooms, etc. I would have tried to edit the pics to minimize the clutter and mess, but I am on Jeff's desktop instead of my laptop (which is currently not working) and am having a hard time with his photo program.
* A well baby check this month found us at 20 lbs 4ish oz (can't exactly remember the oz, might have been a few more), and 31 and something inches long. This put us at 25% weight, 95% height, and his head was 50%.
*Jonathan became more and more interested in exploring his surroundings - lots of climbing, crawling, standing, and he mastered going down the steps backwards on his belly!
*We continued to do a lot of chewing and drooling.
*We also started taking a few steps: 1-2 steps the first few days, and then we quickly progressed to 8-9 steps! The outfit J is wearing here was made by Grandma for Mommy's oldest brother when he was little - which makes it 31ish years old!
*Toothbrushes make great chew/teething toys - the bristles feel great on those sore gums!
*We continue to enjoy our food!

September - 11 months
*Jonathan graduated to a bigger car seat. We decided to go with the Radian, which can remain rear facing up to 45 lbs, and forward facing up to 80 lbs - this little man won't be out of this carseat for years! He really seems to enjoy his new seat, and seems to be very comfortable in it.
* We enjoyed a 3 day weekend with Daddy - lots of family time hiking, picnicking, going to the park, and grilling out.
* Jonathan is now walking everywhere, and is really into everything. We finally got around to installing our cabinet and drawer latches. He wasn't too happy that he could no longer get into all that fun stuff he used to enjoy. Mommy's life is much easier though! We did leave a bottom drawer in both the kitchen and bathroom without latches and full of random household items that are babysafe and he enjoys.
