9 Months Old!

Kellen Rebekah, you are now 9 months old!

We are loving watching you learning new things and growing right before our eyes.  You have been such a precious blessing to our family.  We love you little girl!

You....

still fit in size 2 diapers, but will probably be moving to a 3 soon.

are wearing both 6 and 9 month clothes.

don't care for socks and pull them off all the time!

like to chew on your toes - especially when you are in your carseat.

have super skinny feet and most shoes are too wide for you at this time.

haven't been weighed in a long time (Mommy really needs to weigh you sometime).

ate your first baby food around 8 months old.  Mommy steamed and pureed the food, and you really liked it!  You have had carrots, peas, apples, and prunes.  And also some baby puffs and mum mums.  But, you immediately started having bad constipation problems, so we decided to back off the food for a few more weeks.  Now you are back to exclusively breastfeeding, with some puffs every now and then when are out and about and you are fussy :-)

don't have any teeth yet, but Mommy thinks you will be getting a bottom tooth fairly soon.

started crawling at 8 1/2 months.  You are such a little laid back girl though, and even though you could craw, you rarely went very far the first 2 weeks.  The past few days you are starting to venture out, crawling farther and farther.

learned to clap your hands fro your big brother, and are super proud of yourself!  When we ask, "How big is Kellen?" you raise your arms while we say, "So big!"

love bath time, kicking and splashing in the water.

think your big brother is great - except for when he invades your space a little too much!

still pretty consistently wake to eat around 5 am, then go right back to sleep for a few hours.  You sometimes wake to eat a few hours before that too (Mommy really doesn't think you need to do this anymore though!)

are cuddly, cuddly, cuddly!  And we love it!

are much more attached to mommy and daddy than your big brother ever was.  You don't care for the nursery at church or at Mommy's Bible study very much.

love the Ergo and get to ride in it on Mommy's back quite a bit.  When we go grocery shopping Jonathan sits in the kiddie seat part of the cart, and you ride on Mommy's back.  You also ride on Mommy's back sometimes at the park, when Mommy is cooking, and when Mommy mops the floor.  Since we have been using the Ergo a lot for you, Jonathan has decided he needs in it a lot too ;-)

have a super ticklish neck.  Tickling your neck is the only way I can get you to chuckle.

love that your brother tries to share everything with you.  But after he tried feeding you a grilled cheese sandwich, a cheese cracker, and a gummy vitamin, we have decided he is no longer allowed to eat anything but baby puffs when you are nearby.  This means no more eating for him in the car!

take a morning nap, an early afternoon nap, and usually still take a late afternoon nap/rest.

just pulled up on the bottom step in the living room today.  You will be cruising and walking before we know it!
