Pinterest

I have really enjoyed Pinterest the past few months!  There are some really creative people out there and I really appreciate other peoples' creativity.  I am not very creative myself, but do enjoy trying to copy other peoples' projects and ideas.

I found myself with a lot of felt leftover from an unsuccessful project ;-)  This pink felt bag was super easy, and a little reverse applique flower on it with a matching headband made it a little cutesy!

These little tie shirts are super fun and easy.  I made one for Jonathan last summer that he wore all the time, have made a few for gifts, and need to make Jonathan another one soon.
Fabric headbands with rosettes.

Flower Clip

More reverse applique - this is one of my new favorite things to do - so quick and easy!

This is definitely one of my favorite sewing projects for little boys!  A fun dino hoodie!

Candy Cane Wreath for Christmas - I tried to hang this outside on the front door, but the cold messed up the hot glue and it all fell apart :-(  So I re-glued it and hung it inside :-)
This little Christmas dress is the first thing I have sewn for Kellen.

These are rice filled warming packs.  Just pop them in the microwave for a few minutes and they are nice and toasty.  You can also put them in the freezer and use as a cold pack.  They work great to place at your feet in bed to warm cold toes while you fall asleep.  I made one of these for Jeff for Christmas and he LOVES it - slept with it almost every day until the weather started warming up.

Oops again - Kentucky

Here are some pics from Kentucky.

Pops and Jonathan resting together.  The other 11 grandkids all call my dad "Grampa Bill".  But  in spite of us stressing the "p" in "grampa" numerous times, every time he says it, it comes out "Gramma Bill".  So we decided that our kiddos will call him Pops :-)

Me and my little big nephew!

Ready for church

Kellen loved getting into the pantry!

Happy girl!

That's all for now!

Oops, Some More Christmas 2011

So I totally just found two posts from December/January that I never actually posted!  So here is the first one:

Opening a fun gift from friends on Christmas Eve!

Jonathan emptying his stocking

Kellen checking out her stocking's contents

A fun train table from grandparents!

Kellen likes it too!

Jeff pulled up David Phelps singing "Oh Holy Night" on the computer, and Jonathan was mesmerized.  We watched it a few times, and he would stand completely still and sing along with him with a precious look of pure joy on his face.  We knew he loved music, but seeing his little face singing this song was precious.  And yes, he busted his lip big time and fell and bruised his forehead a few days before Christmas - he is all boy!

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, holy night!"

Everyone enjoyed opening thoughtful gifts from family.

Jonathan saw this shirt in Walmart and kept saying, "Angry Birds, Daddy!"  He and Jeff enjoy playing Angry Birds together on the computer :-)
Kellen was napping when we opened most of the gifts, but she enjoyed opening (or rather watching her brother open) her gifts when she woke up!

We drove by this house Christmas night - wow!  Jonathan LOVED it!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Time to Catch Up!

Life with our little ones is keeping us busy busy busy!  The blog has definitely been neglected as of late, so it's time for a quick catch up post.  We saw quite a bit of my parents in Dec/Jan - they came here for Christmas, then we went with them to TX to visit my brother and his family, then we went with my mom to a friend's wedding in TX one weekend, then the kiddos and I went home with my mom for two weeks.  We loved spending so much time with them, but were glad to be back together as a family in our home after all our travels!  In early Feb we enjoyed a fun visit with Aunt Sarah - she flew in from Denver to spend a few days with us and we loved having her here!

We had fun at the Little Rock Zoo
Isn't that the cutest little boy and little squirrel you have ever seen?!?!

What cute daddy and son penguins!

This is how we roll!  We continue to love our double stroller - Mommy would have a hard time going anywhere without it!

We loved San Antonio
We went to both the Alamo and the River Walk - beautiful!

He thoroughly enjoyed our ice cream cone :-)

My brother and sister-in-law celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary by coming to the wedding :-)  This is the only picture I took - I was too busy keeping up with the kiddos and visiting with friends!  The wedding was at a ranch and was absolutely gorgeous and a ton of fun - wish I had taken some pictures!

Pops with his two youngest grandkids.  Kellen at 11 months was much smaller than her 7 month old cousin Conner! We measured them and I think he was 10 lbs heavier and 2-3 inches taller!!!
Rebekah, one of my best friends from childhood, came over to visit with her sweet little girl.  Jonathan was sharing his Puppers and blankets with her in this picture :-)

We love you Pops!!!

Sleeping in a big boy bunk bed in Kentucky!

Fun toys at Gramma and Pop's house!

It wouldn't be Gramma's without some cookie baking!

Visiting Ms. Rebekah and riding the pony!

Yummy chocolate something!

We love you Gramma!

We love you Aunt Sarah!!!!  Thank you so much for coming to visit us!  We miss you!

That's all for now folks!
