6 Months

Kellen Rebekah, I can't believe you are already 6 months old!  The time is flying and you are growing up so fast!  You started sitting up on your own this past week, and you are pretty pleased with yourself.

Kellen, you...* Weigh 14 lbs, which is around 15th percentile.
*Are close to 90th percentile in height (I can't remember exactly what  your length was).
* Wear size 2 diapers.
* Are wearing mostly 6-9 month clothes.
* LOVE your big brother and he LOVES you too!  He loves to hug and kiss you, play with you, and entertain you.  You have already learned to squeal and Mommy and Daddy will come running when big brother gets on your nerves, LOL!
* Started sitting on your own the week before you turned six months old.
* Stayed in the nursery a few times this past month and did very well.
* Took a long trip last month and enjoyed spending time with aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.  You didn't do very well sleeping while we traveled, waking 2-3 times each night to eat, but are doing much better now that we are back home.
*Really enjoy your cousins, especially the older ones.  Cousin V. cracks me up when she plays with you, smooching your little cheeks together and jiggling them - you LOVE it!  And Cousin L. was so good with you, holding and cuddling you one evening when you were sleepy.
* Drool a lot, but don't have any teeth yet.
* Are ready for Fall and think 114 degrees is too hot!  Ok, maybe it's Mommy who thinks that :-)
* Don't care for bottles, so Mommydoesn't waste time pumping and takes you just about everywhere with her .
* Are the blowout queen - you soiled Daddy so bad a few weeks ago in church that he had to go to Walmart and buy a new outfit.  We have started putting a cloth cover over your disposables when we go out, because that tends to hold in the mess a little better and save your clothes.
