4 Months

Jonathan is now 4 months old!

Jonathan is growing and changing very quickly and we are enjoying every minute of it! We love seeing him smile and hearing him laugh. A few times this past week he and I have had little laughing fits; he will chuckle, I will laugh back, he will chuckle again, I will laugh, etc. I is so cute and funny! Hopefully I can capture it on video soon :-) He is becoming more and more aware of things around him - reaching for toys, trying to grab my ring on y finger, following us with his eyes as we walk around the house, etc. He still loves to chew on everything (especially his hands and blankets, as can be seen in the following pictures) and drools non stop (we go through a lot of bibs) - maybe we will have some teeth soon? This past month, he has really started sucking on his fingers anytime he is sleepy. He LOVES to sit and stand. We can sit him up in the middle of the recliner and he sits upright like a big boy, no longer falling to the side. A friend loaned us a Jumparoo - he really enjoys being upright in it, jumping, and playing with all the colorful toys attached to it. He sleeps very well at night, 8-9 hours, then he eats and goes right back down for another 2 hours. We are still trying to figure out a day time nap schedule. He still has long scraggly hair in the back and over his ears that probably needs to be cut, but mommy isn't quite ready for a first hair cut yet. Sometimes the hair on top of his head looks a bit wavy - here is to hoping he will have his daddy's curly hair!
