Jonathan

Jonathan Lewis Ogan

One word to describe Jonathan at this stage of life is BUSY!  He is full of energy and keeps us hopping!

Love this picture Grampa Bill took of him in a red cowboy hat!  Jonathan LOVES hats!
I love his infectious grin!

Our sweet boy :-)

Trying to fix a truck.

Hmm, can't fix it ... maybe I can ride it anyway.

Riding the broken truck :-)
Uh oh!

Hey!

Two of my favorite things - a ball and a baseball cap!

He LOVES water!
Not sure where he learned this facial expression.  So glad it was captured on camera  though, because we have been seeing a lot of this funny face lately!

Jonathan, you...
* are one busy child.
* have started climbing everything -  you climb into the window sills, climb onto the back of the couch and recliner, climb onto the kitchen table, into the sinks, onto the piano, etc.  You even climbed Daddy's work ladder!
* love to JUMP!  You can already get both feet off the ground.  You went to a friend's birthday at a gymnastics place, and had a blast jumping on the trampoline.  Since then you have tried to jump on the bed, off the furniture, off the stairs, etc.  The other night you tried to jump off the living room steps.  It was so funny to watch, because both feet barely came up and forward and you landed smack on your behind on the same step.  You stood up on the next step and did the same thing  kerplop right onto your behind, LOL!  I was holding your hand walking into the grocery store the other day and you started to squat down.  I thought you were trying to lay down in the parking lot, but then you jumped!  You wanted to jump over EVERY line of each parking space we walked through!
* are wearing size 2 clothes and some size 3 shirts.
* wear size 6 shoes.
* like to turn off and on the lights.
* love WATER!  You don't care if it is bathtime, swim time, or just splashing in the sink.
* helped Mommy cook dinner a few days ago.  You discovered that you don't care for raw onion, black pepper, or the hand soap by the kitchen sink ;-)
* have developed a strong dislike to having your teeth brushed and your diaper changed - we are working on these.
* are a walking accident.  You have fair skin and bruise easily, just like your Mommy.  Your legs, arms, and forhead are always full of bumps and bruises.  Thankfully we haven't had any serious accidents yet.
* are saying more and more words every day.  You have started to really parrot words that Mommy and Daddy say.
* do a lot of yelling and shrieking.
* love trucks, cars, boats, airplanes, trains -  anything that moves!
* love to wear hats and recently started turning your ball caps backwards.
* continue to enjoy your food.
* nap for about 2 hours most afternoons and sleep from around 8pm-8am.
* love your sister and are pretty good with her - we are still working on "gentle" though!
* are a very friendly child with an infectious smile.  We are so thankful God placed you in our family!
